Use Support Pillows
Getting into a comfortable position for sex is a lifelong challenge.
It may be intensified when joints become stiff, ligaments lose their flexibility, our weight climbs, or injury or medical conditions rule out some positions altogether. Strength, flexibility, and stamina, three things we relied on for sex when we were young, tend to diminish over time. Using specially designed pillows and props can support hips, knees, and spines and eliminate the pain barrier, helping couples look forward to lovemaking again.
How To
If you haven't experimented much with different positions before, a sore back or bad hip will give you a very good reason to start now. Body pillows and props often come with booklets that share various positions you can try with their product, or pick up a guide to sex positions and scan them for ones that look as if they would work for you and your partner.
If you are currently receiving care for arthritic joints or a recent injury, it's a good idea to get clearance for sexual activity along with advice about optimal body positioning from your caregiver or a good physical therapist.
