Q: Would EpiGyn help in treating my vulvodynia?

Q: Would EpiGyn help in treating my vulvodynia?

by Dr. Barb DePree MD

You say you aren’t having intercourse because of pain; I’m sorry to hear that. My typical approach to treatment of vulvodynia is with a compounded topical application of low doses of estrogen and testosterone directly to the introitus. Although I don’t have patient experience myself with EpiGyn Intimate Calming Cream for this purpose, its developers have had some reports and collected some data showing success in using it to treat vulvodynia. What I’ve read suggests it’s certainly worth the effort of a trial!
