Use the Intensity Pelvic Tone Vibrator

These instructions will supplement those from InControl Medical, makers of the Intensity device. Intensity is designed to promote women’s pelvic health and wellness, designed, engineered, and manufactured in the US.

Intensity provides electrical muscle stimulation and targeted vibration. The muscle stimulation exercises the pelvic floor muscles, which, in turn increases the intensity of orgasm. Improved pelvic muscle tone increases sensation for you and results in more pleasure for your partner as well. The exercising increases blood flow to the pelvis which further enhances sexual pleasure and lubrication. Improved pelvic floor muscle tone has also been shown to reduce the chance of developing urinary incontinence (leaking); if leaking urine if an issue, it can improve this condition.

Vibration is provided both internally and externally directly to the clitoris, maximizing the sexual response.

How To

Before you begin:

  • Place 4 AAA batteries (positive end down)
  • Empty your bladder
  • Have a lubricant available
  • Remember to always insert and remove the Intensity with the power OFF

Positioning: Most women will be most comfortable semi-reclined on their backs, with knees slightly bent

Insertion

  • With the Intensity in the OFF mode, apply a dime sized amount of lubricant to the tip of the Intensity and to the 2 silver plates (1 on each side)
  • Gently insert into the vagina as far as it will comfortably go
  • Squeeze the inflation pump so it fits snugly in the vagina (this will improve contact with the tissues to optimize the electrical muscle stimulation)
  • Stimulation Session
  • Power the Intensity to the ON mode
  • Adjust stimulation by pressing the up/down arrows. There are 10 levels of stimulation. Press the up arrow once (level 1) and the first indicator light will illuminate; press again (level 2) and it will flash; press again (level 3) the second indicator light will illuminate; pressed again (level 4) and the second light will flash; and so on, to maximum level of 10.
  • Begin at level 1 and increase slowly until you feel a muscle contraction of the pelvic floor, this will be felt as ‘pulling’ the probe upward and inward. Holding the Intensity in place will result in repeated muscle contractions. When complete, deflate by pressing the air release valve, turn the Intensity to the OFF mode and remove the device.
  • It is possible you may never need to use the highest levels of stimulation. Always start low and increase to your comfort.
  • You may find you can comfortably increase the stimulation every 2-4 weeks. You want the stimulation to be comfortable (higher levels may more uncomfortable).

Intensity has its best results if used consistently, ideally 6-7 days per week. It is recommended to use the stimulator for at least 5 minutes and not more than 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of ‘volitional contractions’ or Kegel exercises while the device is in place but turned OFF. For the Kegel exercises, hold the contraction for 5 seconds and then release/relax for 5 seconds; repeat for the 5 minutes. (Remember 5-5-5-5….5 minutes with stimulator on, 5 minutes with stimulator off but in place doing kegel exercises, 5 second contraction, 5 second rest.)

Vibrator addition: Add the vibration at any time during the session, or after the ‘exercise’ session. Adjust the vibration to the desired level (of 5 available) by pressing the up/down arrows.

Cleaning your Intensity

  • Make sure the device is OFF
  • Inflate full and wipe clean with a cloth and a mild soap (do not soak)
  • Rinse with clean water and dry
  • Store in a clean, dry place
